Gary is an award-winning editor/producer. He has extensive experience in documentaries, news segments and promotional content.
Gary has two Emmy Awards for his short-form work
as well as a Gerald Loeb Journalism Award and
multiple film festival laurels for his long-form work.
Recent editor/producer credits include the award-winning
independent documentary short, Playing with Incredible Minds, that tells the story of a demanding maestro and the student musicians
of the Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra. It won the Jury Prize at the
2024 African/Arab International Film Festival in Zagora, Morocco.

The HBO MAX true crime limited series, Black Widower: The Six Wives of Thomas Randolph, that tells the story of the mysterious
demise of four of Thomas Randolph's six wives.
The documentary short, Swimming Through Darkness,
the story of an Irish, internationally known, big wave surfer
who used the pandemic as a time to swim the Irish sea at night and raise
money for the mental health crisis and high suicide rate in his hometown
of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The documentary feature, Amen, Amen, Amen: A Story for Our Times,
about a small Jewish community in Dubai, that gave the
gift of a Torah to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi celebrating
its 2019 Year of Tolerance. This film tells of the first time in history a
Jewish community has given such a significant gift to a Muslim leader.
It has received over 25 Laurels at film festivals around the world.
Best Documentary film festival laurels from the New York Film Festival to a
2022 Best First-Time filmmakers prize at the
Cannes International Film Festival.
Gary also cuts the trailers for his documentary projects.
Gary's award-winning short-form credits include over ten years at NBC
News Productions where he worked under the daily pressure of getting
stories to air for Nightly News, The Today Show, Dateline and programs
across the NBC family of networks.
On-line editing for PBS' Blue Print America: Beyond the Motor City and
Road to the Future; Annie Leibovitz: Life Through a Lens &
Marvin Gaye: What’s Going On? for PBS’ American Masters series;
The Supreme Court for PBS; the independent
feature documentaries; Meeting Resistance and Ben’s Plan.
On the corporate side, Gary created branding content for Morgan Stanley,
McKinsey, Johnson & Johnson and more. Gary also provided editing
services for the launch of MSNBC as well as producing/editing services
for the development and finishing of numerous independent projects
during his tenure at National Video Center in New York City.
Gary has represented seminal MAD cartoonist, Will Elder, for many years. He has written two books about Will; Will Elder: The MAD Playboy of Art and Chicken Fat: Drawings, Sketches, Cartoons and Doodles. Gary is Executive Director of the Diabetes Project. A T1D for 40+ years, Gary has created a wide variety of educational content for people with diabetes. From Branding for the American Diabetes Association to advocacy videos for insulin pump and continual glucose monitor companies.
